Hello everyone i'm looking for a collection of blueprint from starwars, but i wanna buy a book that has only a complete blueprint like characacter like droideka, or the ship that fly anakin in the 3 episode in the begining of the movie.. can any help me or tell me what kind of book can buy ......
I'm doing some concepts of a BatMan villain Two Face. I want to also do a 3D illustration, but that’s not until the near future.
Heres a quick PS sketch I just did... its really rough and not quite sure what it is but I'm going to work on the character a little bit and see were it goes. Hopefully model it when I'm done :D. Any comments would be cool. Cheers!
So, got a bird with a long neck, now rigging neck w/IK. Had one abortive attempt at getting it started, then got waylaid off into dealing with Pivot Rotation Recording and that briar patch (uhhhggg LY!). Starting over. My current, before starting, idea is to simply have a Goal that is...
Anyone ever do this? I mapped a Preston Blair walk-cycle (everybody should have this book) onto a poly, then put it behind my character. Then I keyframed every frame to line up with the character and the step in the cycle, using STEPPED keyframe interpolation. Then I'll scale the keys to match...

I'm contemplating 2d cartoon mouths on a (nominally) 3D character, and wondering how to pull it off. The design of the character would, IMO, be compromised by modeling a 'real' 3D mouth, so I'm thinking of just emulating the 2d mouth as a sort of animated decal that sits on the spherical head...
I'm 'working' on an animation of the classic Aesop's fable about the stork and the fox. This will be done in a broad, cartoony way, not realistic. I'm worried about the stork's wings. Should I just give the impression of feathers, or is there a way to incorporate features (maybe as 'hairs')...
These are classical animation drawing lessons, but may help somebody:) . http://www.karmatoons.com/drawing/drawing.htm
Looking ahead to when my rabbit is fully ::cough:: boned, I'm thinking about the secondary animation of the ears. Is the customary way to achieve this by using null targets on a bone chaine, with the nulls parented, say, to the headbone, along with something ....uhhhh.....like the motion...
What's the best method for eyebrows on a cartoon-like character? Should they be modelled on a separate layer? Added as part of the brow? Or applied as a texture? Eyebrows in a cartoon are normally very expressive, more exaggerated than in a realistic character, so I'm wondering what people...
It's been a while since i've been modelling 3D characters but i'm working on my graduation project, an animated short. I won't go into details story wise, but i do need your opinions on one of the character designs. I made a small little character (psychologist, on the right side) wich i like....
Experimental image taking a basic render from Poser with a light source either side of the head and shoulders. Move the final render into Photoshop, here I used a series of filters to distort the face and create new shapes. Then added photographic elements for the detail using dodge, burn and...
Hy LWs, I'm looking for schemes, bluprints, anything about the Appleseed Shirow landmates, I want to practice some modeling of those kind of things. Anyone have something of this, maybe some reference www? Thanks. - L I B E R -
Hello Would you like to be published in a graphic magazine? If you would like to write the tutorial , just let me know and write to me, Best Ewa
So I made this model, and it is pretty good for my first try, I think. But as you can see, when I place his arms in a certain pose, what ought to be a nice curve to the shoulder is all angled because of the placement of the points in the subdivision. What's the best way to deal with issues like...
I making a short film about a guy in a waiting room, who gets bored waiting for hours on end, but then sees a big red shiny button, with a sign saying "DO NOT PRESS!", and he contemplates whether to press it or not.
It amazes me how often I see this common mistake repeated. Even from artists who are really talented. I just saw another example of it. I won't point any fingers but I'll post about it here any maybe some of you will benefit. (Gosh it's good to know me!) So many times I see people model...
