    Smile Weird Science

    Hi there,

    I am new to Spinquad

I recently posted this image over at CGTALK and cesarmontero kindly asked me to pop over and post it here. I feel honored.

Would love to know your thoughts on the image good and bad. Lightwave 8 was used to redner the image using FPRIME 2 and G2 back in January.

This is a project I have been working on for about 5 years. Used many different software packages.

Originally posted this work back in January, I have now finally had time to finish it. No projection techniques used contrary to what people may think. All assets are available on my site and I can supply any wire frame/texture/mode/uv shots if requested.

The image is based on reference photography of a very special nite that I hold dear to me.

    Regards

I saw these over at CGtalk... all I can say is that your work on this is absolutely stunning! Perhaps the best photo-real character work I've seen.

    Your character work is amazing.
She does feel like a bit of a giant in that back drop to me though.
The shadow, what's visible of it seems a little out of place too.

    Re: Weird Science

I have seen this over at CGtalk. I've never seen a more realistic cg image of a human. (in fact it's all these imperfections as grain, cheap pose, flashlight etc which make it so great).

    Very interesting work (stunning, really!).

How much front projection is envolved? If it isn't at all...well, that's great. I'd like to see a complete turn-around of the scene.

He uses no front projection at all, he posted a turnaround of the room and of the character over at cgtalk.

Also saw this on CGTalk, I checked out your other stuff too. I reckon the tutorials on your site could be very useful.

I saw it on the spotlight banner first and thought SQ was going nude or turning into one of those dating sites.
