Its Me!

Hey folks,

I did this a while ago but have not been about much so i thought i would post it here now. It was the last character i did, kind of a self portrait with a goofy touch

Anyway just trying to get back into the swing of things so...

Gorgeous. Great style. Good presence. Hands, legs and feet need abit more work though as they look abit squarish. But you're probably already on the job. I bet you just wanted to post this cool char and get some positive feedback as soon as possible.

try to refine some details in there, like (because now we're drawn towards the face);

· Make the collar of his shirt a bit sharper on the edges
· Also maybe add just two buttons on the shirt
· The eyelids I would try to make a tiny bit darker, so that his eyes would really shine
· Make sure the eyebrows are close (or on) to the skin, the shadows are a bit distracting now
· I'd also add some shoelaces, not much maybe just two (could be enough)

Overall this looks very good, but giving it a bit of detail, so that it would get the attention/focus more on the whole character, in stead of just the face (which looks very nice btw)! Also like the hair!

WOW guys, thanks for all the great feedback. Lots of valid points in there too. I admit i rushed the body quite a bit. What can I say, i like working with on heads :P However as he has got such good feedback I think he deserves a reworking on the body.

Thanks for the list MVDB, it will really help me refine the character a bit more. I love your stuff so getting good feedback from you means a lot. I feel like I am a chancer most of the time and just about manage to get it right once every so often so I am glad you like it.

OK well I will get to work on him again tonight and fix the hands, feet and body. Will post an update as soon as I am happy with it.

Fantastic stuff I really like the poses you have him in other pictures. I half to say though I get rid of the shadows from his eyebrows I'd keep them sunk into his head but that's just me. Well done.
