    My test new Macro lens

Hi all i got delivery today new Canon EF 100mm F2.8 L IS USM Macro lens.
Just open box snap lens on camera body, grab first thing i see on the shelf and start shouting.
Its hard to tall im happy or not because before i own old version of 100mm lens.
I don't have any flash so i just use day light to make pictures.I like it its light and very sharp,IS system is really help.
Its cold outside no bug's or flowers but making picture of street looks very good and sharp.Portrait picture should be very beautiful.
    Sorry for spelling

For an object like that (one that does not move) Try setting the aperture to something like F11 or smaller (aperture priority). This should allow you to have more of the object in focus and the need for less light. But it would require a tripod.

And for a flash. I own a nissin Di622. Does the job and dirt cheap.
Good one to get while you save up for one of the better flashguns.

    edit:
Also, try to diffuse the pop up flash by placing a paper in front of it. I found that it quite often works very well for macros.

I planing to buy Canon 580EX II speedlight flash with Bounce Diffuser Cap.Special macro flash is very expensive price's up to $700 and not for my pocket at this moment.I try use speedlight flash for both regular and macro photogrhy.
Here's a small example of Canon EF 100mm F2.8 L IS USM Macro lens for portrait. Canon EF 100mm F2.8 L IS USM Macro lens for portrait.

You could get around that expense by using a couple of mono lights. With preferably defuser umbrellas. The reason why I prefer umbrellas is the softboxes can be a bit difficult to set up unless you plan on leaving them together and have someone to help you that is. But the mono lights can be picked up quite cheap under 100 each if you look around. Adorama and Cowboy Studio are a few good places.

Thank you for advise with mono lights.
I think to save some money for next few month and buy "second hand" used Canon Macro Twin Lite MT-24EX Flash.I probably keep my eye on e-bay and find good deal, most of this flashe's in a good condition on ebay.I just start fotography i can see there's no end $$ spending.
