    Volumetric Lights and strange shadows

Ok...I've tried everything and I can't seem to figure out why the "volume" of a point volumetric light is casting a s shadow on the ground.

All shadows are off from the specific lights are off. Using, FG radiosity but no volumetric radiosity. There are 2 lights in the scene, one above that is an area light and the volumetric point light.

Here is a little added info. I have discovered why I am getting the funny shadow. I have an sg_amboccnode on the ground material that is reacting to the light volume creating the shadow.

Anyone know how to remove that while keeping the occlusion node?

Try using a different AO node.

or Bake AO before volume pass

or make a clone of your light for the volumetrics and not cast shadows / affect diffuse or spec / exclude gound object.

No shadows turned on for anything. I will try one of the other solutions you suggested. Thanks for the post.

    Try the light clone idea.
