SpinQuad was founded by William "proton" Vaughan and Wes "kurv" Beckwith in 2004. William felt a new forum for LightWave 3D users was needed for various reasons and he, Wes and Steve Warner set up SpinQuad. The site quickly gained members and evolved into a forum with areas not only for LightWave 3D but compositing, video editing, and more.

Dedicated to computer graphics, and the visual effects industry, SpinQuad was created to provide a place where LightWave 3D enthusiast can come and get all the resources they need whether they are professionals or hobbyists alike.
