SQ – Thank you for speaking with us Mr. Holzmeister. First off, can you tell us a little bit about yourself, where were you born and when did you become interested in art and computers? I was born in Vitória, Brazil. I’ve always liked to draw since I was a little boy, I was always drawing comics. When I became a little older I got a computer and started to play around with painting packages like Aldus Photostyler and later on photoshop. I bough a copy of 3D Studio Max r4 for DOS, and started to learn how 3D software works, that was the start of my journey.
SQ – Tell us a little bit about your background in 3D? I work mainly with 3Dsmax, for producing many kinds of work, manly for Broadcast, but I also worked for film and game promos. My main focus is character design and character animation.
I also work with zbrush and mudbox, and know a little of XSI and Maya.
