SQ – What advice would you give to others looking to get into this industry? Be prepared for a lot of competition. It's global now with the web. But as long as you have some good solid work you should be fine. It all depends on which part of the industry you want to specialize in. One of the biggest problems for free-lancers generally is the "work for free you'll get your stuff on the TV" jobs. Whilst these are fine when you first start you don't want to be doing them 10 years down the line.

UPDATE!!! 9/27/2007
Mr. Sharp has completed the first episode of his film Cursed Rik called "a nose for trouble." I asked Mr. Sharp a few more questions about it. Click below to view it.

SQ - How long did this first episode take you to complete, and have you started on the next one? The pilot took about eight months from start to finish. Again I had to fit it in between projects. I have began storyboarding the next episode and hopefully
it will be ready soon.
SQ - How many episodes do you think Cursed Rik will be? At the moment I have written five.
SQ - What are your intentions for Cursed Rik? Do you want for it to be picked up by a studio and be made into a weekly series? I showed it around to a few companies and a newly formed website called Comedybox is interested in developing it as a series,
which is where you can see the first episode. If there is interest and they are well received then more will be made.
SQ - Sound and sound effects, do you have a composer or do you do this yourself with software and a bank of sound effects? Yes I have sound fx cd's and also, for the first episode at least, I bought a piece of music online. But I'd like to be working with a composer as music is
something Ii can't do myself.
SQ - Thank you for your time Mr. Sharp. Thank you.

Please post any comments about the interview here. Thank you.
